This 1949 Mercury is built and owned by Donald F. Lett of Hutchinson, Kansas. It is a custom that uses the engine, drivetrain, suspension, interior, and electronic accessories of a first generation Mark VIII. Even the keyless entry keypad is integrated neatly into the left door trim. It is the way a 1949 Mercury would be built now.
